A Seattle native and University of Washington alumni, Joe Forest moved to Walla Walla in the fall of 2004. He started courses at Walla Walla Community College's School of Enology of Viticulture and began work at Seven Hills Winery as a Crush Assistant. In the spring of 2005, Joe became the Assistant Winemaker at Dunham Cellars and is currently the Winemaker at Patit Creek Cellars.
Joe's interest in wine and food is deep rooted. His father, Keith, instilled an appreciation of European culture in his family and was himself a "home winemaker." Joe can point anyone who visits Walla Walla in the direction of one of his favorite taco wagons or where to have a true fine dining experience.
He aims to make wines that display their finesse and flavor, without overwhelming a palette or losing varietal characteristics. He makes wine that he himself would want to drink and that showcase the splendor of Walla Walla grown fruit.
Mollie Delaney Forest relocated to Walla Walla in the Spring of 2005 in pursuit of 5 minute commutes, sunny weather and to be with her (then) boyfriend, a burgeoning winemaker. Also a graduate of the University of Washington, Mollie worked in Internet Marketing for Nordstrom.com before moving back to her eastern Washington roots.
